Pablo Corbalán with some nice glasses.

I am a PhD student at the D3S research group of the University of Trento, Italy, under the supervision of Prof. Gian Pietro Picco. My research is focused on wireless communications for low-power networked embedded systems.

Before starting the PhD, I studied Telecommunication Engineering at Miguel Hernández University, Spain, and I did a six month internship at emxys, a company where I designed circuits and PCBs for space and commercial applications. This internship was funded by a Santander Bank’s scholarship. During the last year of my degree, I went on Erasmus to Cork, Ireland, where I carried out my MSc Thesis at the Nimbus Centre for Embedded Systems Research at Cork Institute of Technology (CIT). Afterwords, I stayed for almost two years at Nimbus researching on facilitating network control and management in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) and collaborating on several European projects.

Among other things, I will use this website to talk about my research and to post some Contiki or Python tutorials. If you are interested in my research, feel free to send me an email or follow me on GitHub or Twitter. You can also connect with me on LinkedIn.
